Equipped with a DP-2 dynamic positioning system, electric azimuth thrusters, a 400-ton crane and a 3,000-ton cable reel, it can perform deep-water development, construction, maintenance and emergency response worldwide. Jia Lujin, project manager for the vessel's construction at COOEC, said automated monitoring systems allow periodic unattended operation, while energy-saving designs cut fuel use by 15% and extend range to 15,000 nautical miles.
